New towns to rise in Tengah and Bidadari

NEW towns will be developed in Tengah and Bidadari ahead of demand, announced the Ministry of National Development (MND) yesterday.

Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan said: "They will not be needed soon, but we are planning ahead so as to retain flexibility."

Tengah is near Choa Chu Kang, while Bidadari, which is in Upper Serangoon Road, was well-known for its cemetery.
