Tiger Airways appoints Andrew David as new CEO

Following Tiger Australia's near 6-week flight ban in July that was estimated to have cost the company about S$12 million, Tiger Airways has appointed former Virgin Blue chief operating officer, Andrew David, to run its Australian unit.

Mr David replaces former Tiger Group chief executive Tony Davis.

Before Virgin Blue, he held various senior management roles at Air New
Zealand.
