Train services between Dhoby Ghaut and Marymount stations were affected at the start of passenger service at 5:30am, said SMRT in press statement. The company deployed buses to ferry affected passengers along the Circle Line stations. The first bus arrived at Marymount station at 6.27am.
At 7:30am, SMRT issued a disruption advisory on its website which read, "Train services on the Circle Line are disrupted. Passengers can take bus bridging services along Circle Line stations from Marymount to Dhoby Ghaut or seek alternate transport."
Train services between Bartley and Marymount resumed at about 8:00am. Train services from Marymount to Paya Lebar and Dhoby Ghaut to Stadium resumed about half an hour later. In the interim, bus bridging services were provided for affected passengers at Dakota and Mountbatten stations.Service on all Circle Line stations resumed at about 9:50am, according to an update by SMRT.
The company apologised for the inconvenience caused to affected passengers.
