Newcastle lead chase for Macheda

Manchester United striker Federico Macheda could be set to join Newcastle on loan, according to the player's agent.

It may be difficult for a player like Macheda to play regularly if he does stay at Old Trafford with Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen, Mame Biram Diouf and Danny Welbeck around.
