During the joint-operation, the officers conducted raids and made arrests at multiple locations across the island, including Sengkang, Choa Chu Kang, Toa Payoh, Jurong West, Yishun, and Pasir Ris.

The joint operation resulted in the arrest of 39 persons, comprising 30 men and 9 women, aged between 15 and 58. The persons were arrested for various offences including criminal breach of trust as a servant, forgery for the purpose of cheating, and various cheating-related offences.

Investigations revealed that in one of the cases, a 48-year-old man had allegedly committed criminal breach of trust as a servant by misappropriating approximately S$11,700,000 from his employer.

The accused had sold off materials belonging to his employer without his employer’s knowledge and pocketed the monies from the sales. The accused thereafter dishonestly misappropriated the monies to pay off his personal debts and for his personal expenses. He will be charged in court tomorrow.
