Singapore warmed up for their 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Round Two clashes against Malaysia with an unconvincing 3-2 defeat of Chinese Taipei on Monday.

A spirited Chinese Taipei first half display threatened to ruin the entire evening for head coach Radojko Avramovic and his Singapore charges, with goals coming from Lo Chih An and Hiang Shih Lu.
A brace from Aleksandar Duric and a late strike from substitute Fazrul Nawaz may have helped Singapore nick this friendly encounter but their overall performance raised concerns on their ability to progress in the journey to Brazil 2014 against Malaysia, of whom several stars excelled during an outing against Liverpool at the weekend.
