Man dies after knife attack by four at Toa Payoh Lor 1

According to a Shin Min Daily report, passers-by saw four Indian men chasing the victim through a carpark. The man collapsed at the void deck and a knife was reportedly found near the victim's body.

The Police told STOMP today (July 14):

"On July 13 2011 at about 7.54 pm, police received a call that a person was found injured at the ground floor lift lobby of Blk 128 Toa Payoh Lorong 1.

"Upon Police’s arrival, a 47-year-old Chinese man was found injured at the said location.

"He was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng hospital where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital at 5.19 am.

"Police immediately mounted operations to establish the identity of the assailant and swiftly arrested a 50-year-old Singaporean male Indian this morning in connection with this case.
