According to an affidavit by the plaintiff, Chinese national Deng Xiaomei of Jacky Fashion Designer, she obtained a final judgment for the sum of 880,000 yuan (S$170,000) when This Fashion did not appear to contest the claim she submitted to the Subordinate Courts for a debt that was not settled last October.
Because the debt remained unpaid, she went on to submit the winding-up application.
The case will be heard on April 15. If a winding-up application is approved, the company will essentially be closed down and put in the hands of its creditors.
This is not the first time the chain has run into debt troubles.
