A PAINTER who used his motorcycle helmet to hit a taxi driver and squeezed the door of the cab on his hand was jailed for six weeks on Wednesday.
Chua Chong Hock, 56, pleaded guilty to causing hurt to Mr Cheng Choon Leng, 44, at a carpark near Block 75 Commonwealth Drive on Aug 9, 2010.
The court heard that Chua attacked the victim following a near collision at the carpark. The victim got down from his cab and told Chua to move his motorcycle so that he could drive it away.
Chua shouted at the victim, who was hit on the head with the helmet. He also punched the victim and a scuffle broke out.
When the victim wanted to retrieve his cellphone from the cab, Chua stopped him by squeezing the door against the victim's right hand. The victim managed to break free and called the police.
