Man jailed for having sex with supervisor's underaged daughter

According to court documents, the girl's mother was the 25-year-old man's supervisor and she had entrusted him to fetch her daughter from school.

The man, who worked in a building maintenance company, had consensual sex with the then-14-year-old student.

He cannot be named to protect the victim's identity.

They had sex on three separate occasions in mid-2008 at a multi-storey car park.

The girl later told her mother about the incidents and the police were notified.

The man faced three charges of having sex with a minor. He pleaded guilty to two and one charge was taken into consideration during sentencing. He was sentenced to a year's imprisonment on Friday.
