LeBron James acquires stake in Liverpool

LeBron James acquired a minority stake in Liverpool football club yesterday after the two-time NBA most valuable player's sports marketing firm, LRMR, entered into a partnership with the British club's owners, Fenway Sports Group.

"We are very excited that LeBron will be part of the Liverpool FC family," said Fenway co-owner Tom Werner.

"Eighteen championships," said James, referring to Liverpool's record haul of league titles. "I see myself trying to do the same things they have."
