Muhamad Azizzat Adam, 23, had accomplices with him, also deaf-mutes, on some of these occasions. The three, including a 20-year-old woman, were also jailed and banned from driving for their respective offences.
Azizzat admitted to five charges of motorcycle theft at Seah Im Road, St James Power Station and Bideford Road between last October and February.

All together, he stole nine motorcycles worth $32,024. A dozen other charges were considered during his sentencing.
Muhammad Hafezan Azam Azhan, 21, who stole a $1,300 motorcycle with Azizzat on Jan 25, was given 15 months’ jail and banned from driving for 11/2 years.
Another accomplice, Mohd Zakirnorsahfiq Mustakin, 22, got a year’s jail and a 11/2-year driving ban for working with him to steal a $2,800 motorcycle in Bideford Road on Nov 10.
The woman, Nurul Shazehan Sam, who received the stolen bike from Azizzat at Mount Elizabeth Hospital the following day, was jailed for eight months and given a year-long driving ban.
The maximum penalty for motor vehicle theft is five years’ jail and a fine plus disqualification.
