Decomposed body found in luggage bag at Sentosa, suspect arrested

SINGAPORE - A badly-decomposed body was found this morning at a construction site on Sentosa.

The male body had reportedly been placed inside a luggage bag and was highly-decomposed. It is believed to have been dumped at sea.

The body was discovered by some construction workers at 8.14am. They had been working on a new building site when the luggage case floated in on the sea beside the site.

They opened the luggage bag to discover the body.

UPDATE!

A 44-year-old man has been arrested by police in connection with the suspected murder of a Chinese-Singaporean man, whose body was found in a luggage trolley bag at Sentosa yesterday.

The victim has been identified as Mr Wong Teck Siong, 28.

The Chinese-Singaporean suspect was arrested this afternoon, and will face charges in court tomorrow. If found guilty of murder, he may be sentenced to death.
