Berbatov leaving United for Seville?

Although Berbatov has been prolific this season, scoring 22 goals and three hat-tricks, fans at Old Trafford have never really warmed to him, as his languid style of play has detractors saying that the Bulgarian is simply lazy.

The Bulgarian's contract will run out next summer, and with Sir Alex Ferguson looking to revamp his squad in order to keep them competitive, the 30-year-old could be out the door, especially with the emergence of Javier Hernandez.

Sevilla are looking to swoop in with a £12million offer for the striker, and have sounded out Berbatov's agent Emile Dantchev about the player's interest in moving to La Liga, where the slower pace could suit him better.

Seville could also offer a player-plus-cash deal to United in the form of Diego Perotti.

The Argentine midfielder has also been linked to moves to Liverpool and Newcastle, and could be used in order for Seville to get their man.
