SHE was walking home with her sister and nephew when she heard a loud bang behind her.
She turned around and was shocked to see her seven-year-old nephew pinned under a railing.
A taxi had gone out of control, hit two parked cars, flew across a drain and knocked down a railing. The uprooted railing fell on Caleb Lee Jia Xuan, a Primary 1 pupil at Kheng Cheng School.
He suffered head and leg injuries and was unconscious when he was taken to hospital in a private car.
His mother, Madam Sng Yee Leng, 38, also suffered minor injuries on her legs.
The cabby, who's in his mid-40s, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
Caleb's father, who wanted to be known only as Mr Lee, said his son was now in stable condition. The family declined further comment.

When contacted, Ms Tammy Tan, group corporate communications officer for ComfortDelGro Corporation, said: "We have visited the boy in hospital and will be rendering him and his family assistance."
Ms Tan added that the company would be helping Caleb's family with the hospital bill and that the driver's hiring agreement had been terminated with immediate effect.
ComfortDelGro will be assisting the police in their investigations.
