Mosques in Singapore will be carrying out a collection drive in aid of the victims of the deadly earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The collection will be held on behalf of the Rahmatan Lil Alamin (Blessings To All) Foundation, and will begin from March 18.
Donation boxes will be placed at all 69 mosques here till March 24.
They will be marked "Singapore Muslim Community's Contribution to the Humanitarian Relief Efforts in Japan".
Cash donations will also be accepted at the Muis Building at the Singapore Islamic Hub at Braddell Road.
Cheque donations should be made payable to "Muis", with "Humanitarian Relief Efforts in Japan" written at the back.
The public may also donate online at www.muis.gov.sg.
