Man armed with rifle, fired at four police officers from mountain, killed one

Four police officers have been shot near the Devils Branch area outside of Grundy, apparently by the same suspect. It happened around 3 p.m. Sunday.


The suspect is reportedly armed with a rifle, shooting at the officers from the mountains. Police are currently searching for the man. He is armed and dangerous.

Helicopters were sent to airlift the wounded officers to an unknown hospital. It has been reported that one officer has died as a result of their injuries.
