The Home Team at play

Home Team officers show that they are not all work and no play as they compete for sporting and mental glory during the Home Team Games 2010.

The Home Team Games is an annual Sports Day event organized by the Home United Sports and Recreation Association (HUSRA) for Home Team Departments to allow Home Team officers to get together and have fun while engaging in healthy living.

Officers from all ranks from various Home Team Departments (HTDs) participated in 22 sports during the Home Team Games 2010.

Highlights of the Games included the Inter-Sector Tug-of-War and the Novelty Shooting event, both introduced for the first time.

The theme for Home Team Games 2010 was “One Team, One Goal”, and Home Team officers show their teamwork during the Inter-Sector Tug-of-War event, where HT officers from different HTDs worked and trained together to represent their sectors.

"This event not only creates a lot of excitement but more importantly it aims to convey and reinforce the message of teamwork and strength in unity in the Home Team" said Mr Derek Pereira, Chairman of the HUSRA.
