Heavy congestion expected from April 24 to 26 due to Qing Ming

THE Traffic Police has advised motorists to avoid the following roads from April 24 to 26 due to the observance of Qing Ming festival.

They are:

a) Choa Chu Kang Road / Jalan Bahar / Lim Chu Kang Road / PIE;
b) Lornie Road / Sime Road / Kheam Hock Road / PIE;
c) Bright Hill Drive / Sin Min Drive / Sin Min Avenue;
d) Bishan Street 21 / Raffles Institution Lane;
e) Yishun Ring Road;
f) Mandai Road; and
g) Upper Aljunied Road / Mount Vernon.

Large crowds and heavy traffic are also expected at the following Chinese cemeteries and columbarium complexes:

a) Choa Chu Kang Chinese Cemetery;
b) Bukit Brown Chinese Cemetery;
c) Phor Kar See Temple; (Bright Hill Columbarium);
d) Pek San Theng Temple;
e) Yishun Columbarium;
f) Mandai Columbarium; and
g) Mount Vernon Columbarium.
