STOMPer Bo Liao reported seeing smoke coming out of Choon Boon Secondary School today (Mar 22) at around 1030am. The SCDF was called in only to find that a few brave souls had already extinguished the fire themselves.
STOMPer Bo Liao described:
"Smoke was seen coming out of Chong Boon Secondary's roof top this morning (Mar 22) at around 1030am.
"Students and staff were seen streaming out of building but it seemed like they had no sense of urgency.
"From the pictures, there weren't any teachers directing the students to evacuate in an orderly and proper manner.
STOMP contacted the SCDF and is pleased to report that no one was injured.
The SCDF said:
"We received a call at around 1037am this morning (Mar 22) and dispatched a fire engine to the scene.
"It was a minor fire and when the firemen arrived, they discovered that civilians had already extinguished the fire.
"No one was injured."
