SINGAPORE - Some $194 million in electricity and utilities rebates will be paid out to Singaporean households to combat rising utilities bills.
800,000 Singaporean households will receive $163 million worth of Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebates and $31 million worth of Service & Conservancy Charges (S&CC) rebates this April.
Each Singaporean household can receive $170-$220 worth of U-Save rebates and half to one month's waiver of S&CC depending on the flat type.
How it works
The U-Save rebates will be used to offset utilities charges directly. The remaining rebates will be reflected in the utilities bills for April and July for all eligible households.
Similarly, the S&CC rebates will be used to offset S&CC directly.
Unused U-Save rebates each month will be rolled-over to the following months.ORIGINAL SOURCE
