Video: Cop slams cruiser into oncoming drink-driving suspect's car

IRVING, Texas — Video was released Tuesday of an officer in Texas who slammed his cruiser into a car that was driving the wrong way on the highway.

Police had a hard time tracking the driver because he was traveling in the opposite direction of traffic on a major highway that was divided.

Some officers blocked the intersection to minimize the flow of traffic, according to NBC, Dallas Fort-Worth. Other officers drove parallel to the vehicle on the opposite side of the divider to alert oncoming traffic.

The driver kept going even after stop sticks deflated his tires. He was driving about 20 miles per hour when the officer made his "gutsy" move, which can be seen in the video below.
