MHA sign first MOU on security cooperation with China's Ministry of Public Security

Sealing a pact to boost security cooperation, the Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam signed a Memorandum of Understanding with his Chinese counterpart, State Councillor and Minister of Public Security Meng Jianzhu on 18 Feb 2011.

The signing is part of the visit from 17 to 19 Feb 2011 by the State Councillor who led a delegation of officials from the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is a milestone event as it affirms the importance of international law enforcement cooperation in a dynamic operating environment.
