Lorry flips, lands on CTE barrier

A LORRY driver's day was turned upside down- literally.

A 30-year-old worker from India said that he had been driving along the CTE towards the SLE when a car suddenly appeared on his right.

Mr Senthilkumar said: "The car was very fast and didn't stop. I tried to brake but I couldn't stop. I couldn't control the lorry."

He claimed he swerved left to avoid a collision with the car.

"I wasn't driving that fast," said Mr Senthilkumar.

"The car just came very fast and I had to turn.

Before he knew it, the lorry had hit the barrier and had turned upside down on top of the barrier.

He was the only one in the lorry at the time.

Mr Senthilkumar said that his door would not open and he had to break the glass window to get out of the lorry.

Mr Ganesan Senthilkumar walked away with minor injuries. An ambulance rushed Mr Senthilkumar to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Yishun and he was discharged the same day.

Police investigations are ongoing.
