Former lecturer divulged exam questions for money

A FORMER lecturer was fined by the Subordinate Courts on Thursday for divulging examination questions to students in exchange for money.

The 38-year-old lecturer, Isabelle Krishnan, was a level head for the upper intermediate level at Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) when the offences took place between September and October 2009.

Krishnan, then an English lecturer, approached two of her students, Mr Hoang Truong Tien, 30 and Ms Zhang Tingting, 23, and offered them last-minute English language tuition to help them pass their upcoming examination.

She charged them $450 each in exchange for questions for an upcoming English Language examinations, reported The Straits Times.

Krishnan would reveal the questions during private tuition sessions with them.

She could have been fined up to $100,000 and jailed up to five years for each charge.
