Food vouchers for needy residents in Hong Kah North

SINGAPORE: Hong Kah North has launched a new Food and Sundry Voucher Scheme worth S$20,000 to help needy residents deal with rising inflation.

Some 50 low income families living in Hong Kah North received their vouchers on Sunday morning.

Worth S$30, the vouchers will be given out every month for a year to be used at participating shops in the neighbourhood.

MP for the area, Dr Amy Khor launched the scheme on Sunday morning during her annual Lunar New Year walkabout.
