Euro Champs' League: Bayern one-up over Inter, Man U and Marseille bore

Inter Milan 0 Bayern Munich 1
With the game seemingly destined for a 0-0 draw despite both sides going close to breaking the deadlock throughout the match, Arjen Robben's shot from range deflected into the path of striker Gomez, who capitalised on some flat-footed defending from Inter and former Bayern defender Lucio to tap home in the 90th minute.

Marseille 0 Manchester Utd 0
Both sides tried to stamp their authority on the game with extended periods of possession but neither United nor Marseille created much in the way of chances.

All in all, United had the better chances to win the game and will be confident of overcoming their French opponents when the two meet at Old Trafford on March 15 - even without finding a crucial away goal at the Stade Velodrome.
