SINGAPORE - The first case of a H1N1-related death has been reported by the Singapore General Hospital.
77-year-old Mohd Lazim Kalang died on Wednesday from a lung infection after being warded on Jan 15.
A spokesperson for the Singapore General Hospital said that measures are already in place and that the Health Ministry had not indicated any special precautions.
Young children or those with respiratory illnesses are especially susceptible to H1N1. It could also develop into pneumonia in elderly patients.
