Man-of-the-match Mueller opened the scores with a glancing header on 3 minutes. Klose scored his 13th ever World Cup goal on 68 minutes after a brilliant through ball from Mueller as Argentina were chasing the game and had themselves fired in a flurry of shots. Then Bastian Schweinsteiger waltzed through the defence on 74 minutes leaving Arne Friedrich another simple tap in to make it 3-0.
