Swiss teen jailed for burglary


A SWISS teenager broke into a family friend's house with her boyfriend and got away with valuables totalling $1,583 less than two months after her release from prison for theft.

Frederique Wanger, 19, admitted to housebreaking and theft of cash and property totalling $1,583 from Ms Rebekka Christa Aicher Koch, 50, at Sunset Way on May 4. The unemployed girl's alleged accomplice, Muhammad Nurashik Ahmad, 20, has been charged and his case is pending.

Wanger, who pleaded guilty to overstaying and another charge of mobile phone theft, was jailed a total of 12 months and fined $1,000 on Monday.
