SINGAPORE - Touched by their plight, Singaporeans have come forward to help victims of the Kallang Road slashings.
At least five donors have pledged about $4,000 to provide financial help to the three foreign workers attacked by a gang of seven Malaysians two weeks ago.
One potential donor, who prefers to be anonymous, is looking at a $10,000 donation to meet the education needs of a victim's children, MediaCorp has learnt.
Representatives from two migrant workers' rights organisations - Transient Workers Count Too and the Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics - visited the victims yesterday. Both organisations are looking at how to help them.
Six of the seven attackers have been charged in the Subordinate Courts. One gang member is still at large.
