
SINGAPORE - MALAYSIANS from Johor and Malacca are crossing to Singapore daily to place bets on the World Cup.
Johorean Tay Hong Nee, 40, said Malaysian punters had the 'convenient' option of going to the island republic to bet.
'Whether or not sports betting is legalised, those who have a keen interest in it will find the means to bet, especially during the current World Cup. 'The Government should set up such betting premises soon,' said the site supervisor
