DRIVING to Malaysia on the Second Link will be cheaper from August 1. Charges for tolls on both the Singapore and Malaysian sides will be reduced by as much as 30 per cent for all motorists. The move, which was announced by both governments on Tuesday, is expected to increase traffic on the Tuas Second Link. 'Hopefully with the reduction of the toll rates we will see better utilisation of the Second Link,' said Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak.
He spoke at a press conference which was held after his meeting with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Putrajaya on Wednesday. MORE
