MELBOURNE - HUNDREDS of victims of Australia's deadly 2009 firestorm are suing SP AusNet, an energy infrastructure company based in Victoria, alleging that poorly maintained electrical wires sparked the blaze.
Reports yesterday said lawyers representing more than 600 plaintiffs have lodged a class-action suit in Victoria's Supreme Court.
SP AusNet, which is listed on the Singapore Exchange and the Australian Stock Exchange, is 51 per cent owned by Singapore Power. MORE
