FB rolling out changes to profile pages
The new profile pages should be available to all of Facebook's more than 500 million users by early next year, Josh Wiseman, a Facebook engineer, said in a post on the Facebook blog.
Mr Wiseman said the changes are designed to make it easier for a user to 'tell your story and learn about your friends.'
Facebook members can also highlight their most important friends on the page, create new groups of friends or share activities and interests such as favorite musicians and sports teams. 'All your interests and experiences are now represented with images, making your entire profile a more compelling visual experience,' Mr Wiseman said.COPIED AND PASTED FROM THIS LINK

23 seals clubbed to death in NZ
WELLINGTON - MORE than 20 seals, including newborn pups, were found clubbed to death at a popular New Zealand tourist spot, wildlife conservation officers said on Monday.
The New Zealand fur seals appeared to have been killed in a series of attacks over a number of days at the Ohau Point seal colony, near the South Island town of Kaikoura, the Department of Conservation (DOC) said.
'This is a callous and cowardly attack on seals, especially newborn pups, unable to defend themselves against someone striking them with a bat or similar club-like object,' DOC regional manager Dave Hayes said.
Conservation Minister Kate Wilkinson appealed for public help in tracking down those responsible for bludgeoning to death the 15 adult seas and eight pups, some only a few days old. 'I'm beyond appalled,' she said.
'This isn't just a random act of violence. To go around and club 23 seals to death over a number of days is very deliberate and you have to question the state of mind of someone who can carry out such a cruel and abhorrent attack.COPIED AND PASTED FROM THIS LINK
AFF Suzuki Cup - Lions struggle for a win, Philippines shock world soccer
The Singapore players looked disinterested and disjointed, even contriving to concede a soft goal to go into the break staring defeat in the face of defeat.

But Radojko Avramovic reorganised his Lions and they came out to huff and puff, and finally blow the Myanmar house down, escaping with a come-from-behind 2-1 win to rescue their campaign.
The Philippines lead the standings a point ahead of the Lions after a stunning 2-0 victory over hosts and defending champions Vietnam in the other Group B fixture last night.

Singapore Tennis Association tennis trials held back
The Singapore Tennis Association (STA) had planned to hold a two-day trial starting today at Keppel Club to select two talented juniors who will be funded to the tune of $250,000 each to train and compete full-time, in the hope they will go on and turn professional and join the men's ATP Tour or women's WTA Tour.

A seven member panel was set up to make the selection, with Madrid Tennis Federation (MTF) technical director Tati Rascon to chair the panel.
However, Rascon and his two-man team were unable to fly out of Spanish capital two days ago when local air controllers went on strike.
