Cabby hurls vulgarities at driver after accident at ION Orchard

STOMPer K sent in this video, which shows a cab driver hurl vulgarities at him after they were both involved in an accident at ION Orchard on Feb 8, at 8.30pm.

Said the STOMPer:

"I was turning into ION Orchard's carpark and pick-up point area.

"The first two lanes are meant for cars going to the carpark or pick-up point, and for taxis going to the taxi stand.

"This Transcab taxi was beside my vehicle, and when we were both turning, the cabby turned wide and ended up knocking into the door on the driver's side of my vehicle.

"After this, I told him to wait, so that we could take pictures of the accident. I had to come out through the passenger's side as the driver's side door was stuck from the impact.

"When I came out, I realised that he had parked his car in front of mine, and he had taken photos of the impact.

"When I said that I was taking photos of his car, he started hurling vulgarities at me. He also shoved me aside when I tried to take pictures of the taxi.

"When I asked him for his ID, he refused to let me see it. Only when I told him that I already have his vehicle number and that there was no point in hiding did he let me see his NRIC.

"After that, before I could get a clear picture of the cab, he drove off.

"I want to highlight this incident not solely because of the accident. Instead I want to highlight this cabby's behaviour, which was uncalled for and inappropriate."
