The piling and foundation of the new National Stadium is done and the construction team will now concentrate on its superstructure.

The construction team has ensured all the rubble from the old National Stadium and the car parks and roads surrounding it is recycled to retain its heritage.
The recycled material currently serves as bases for roads and working platforms for the heavy machinery required on site and will be incorporated into the foundation of the new development eventually.
Meanwhile, the football pitch is currently undergoing accelerated settlement to prepare for the next phase of construction.
The new stadium will be able to accommodate as many as 55,000 people.
The Sports Hub will be an integrated sports, entertainment and lifestyle hub and it will be in operation in April 2014.
