SCDF said the man was sent to Singapore General Hospital.
SCDF also said the fire, at 23 Neythal Road, was raging when firefighters arrived at the scene just after 9am, emitting thick black smoke.
They put out the fire in 15 minutes using three water jets.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
