Fifa gives Singapore soccer women's team the boot

SINGAPORE - The Singapore women's football team has been struck off Fifa's latest world rankings, released on May 28.

They join the likes of Aruba, Vanuatu and Bermuda as one of 51 countries that have disappeared from the governing body's list, following 18 months of inactivity.

There are 116 nations in the rankings, and with the 1,210 points that Singapore had amassed prior to the last 18 months, the Republic's women would have been ranked joint-92nd with Bolivia. MORE
